6. cookies
To facilitate the use of our online portals, we use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are temporarily stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer and are necessary for the use of our online portals. For example, the information contained in the cookies is used to control the session, in particular to improve navigation and enable a high degree of user-friendliness of a website. Please note that deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot (correctly) use all the functions of our portal.
7. plugins
Within the online portals of SMQS, various third-party services are used, such as YouTube or Google Maps. This always assumes that these providers can perceive the IP address of the user. SMQS accepts no responsibility for the collection and treatment of personal data by these third parties.
7.1 Google Analytics
SMQS uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the SMQS website. The information generated by the cookie (browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL, website previously visited, IP address, time of server request) about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on our website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Instructions on how to prevent the processing of your data by the web analysis service can be found at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
7.2 Social plugins
Plugins from social networks, which are operated exclusively by Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) and Twitter (Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), can be recognised by the logo of the respective social network. When a website is accessed that integrates one or more of the aforementioned plugins, the browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of the social networks. The button is transmitted directly to the browser by the social networks and integrated into the website by the browser. By integrating the buttons, the social networks receive the information that the corresponding website has been accessed. If the user is logged in to the social networks at the time of his visit, the social networks can assign the visit to the user’s account. If the button is clicked, the corresponding information is transmitted from the browser directly to the social network and stored there. The purpose and scope of the data collection, the further processing and use of the data by the social networks as well as the user’s right in this respect and the setting options for protecting the user’s privacy can be found in the privacy policies of Facebook and Twitter. The user can avoid that the social networks collect data about the visited website by logging out before visiting the website.
8. changes
Changes to this privacy policy will be published on this page. In this way, you can inform yourself at any time about what data we store, how we collect it and how we use it. You can save and/or print out the privacy policy here.
